New this Week
New comics on the home page are displayed based on seven calendar days starting from Wednesday at 12:01am.  If there is a holiday delay for new comics the home page may be empty.

Prior Weeks
These comics are comics released prior to “last Wednesday”, sorted by release date, most recent first.

Previews
The comics displayed are upcoming, existing and previously released titles that have pages that the publisher has authorized as previewable.  These pages are available for viewing to a potential subscriber/buyer of that title. 

These are currently sorted by publisher name, publication title, release date, issue name, volume number, issue number (in that precedence order). We can easily change this if you like too. A better description based on its current implementation would be “a list of previewable comics”. We may consider changing that definition slightly to “a list of recent and/or upcoming, previewable comics” if that would make more sense. It’s pretty easy to do that.

Top Sellers
The top ten best selling comics on the site   This is tallied by sales in the last seven calendar days.

Minimum Requirements
IE6, IE7, Firefox 2.0 or above, 256M ram, 1ghz CPU, Flash Player 9 or above.  Macs often use Safari, but can also use Firefox or other browsers.

Rollovers
Provide basic information about the title or issue.  In table view or thumbnail view the user can get detail about the comic. By left clicking on the title or issue they can go to an title or issue detail page with more information and the ability to subscribe, purchase and/or preview/sneak peak the issue.

Issue Detail
Provides information such as talent, issue number, issue synopsis, issue rating and will allow you to subscribe or purchase and/or prepurchase the title.

Monetary Terms
USD means United States Currency rate

My Account:
Your Unread Issues:  There is a flag in the database indicating if a purchased issue has been read. If the flag is not set, then the issue will show up in the list, otherwise it’s not listed in the ‘unread’ issues section.

Your Collection
Can be displayed in list view.

List view
Allows the user to see more information in a list format.

Thumbnail view
Thumbnail view is the default view for all pages on the ComicWorks site.  If a category is bolded and underlined you can resort the list by selecting the underlined category.

Your Subscriptions and Pre-purchases
This selection allows you to manage your title subscription lists and any pre-purchases you have made.  After 12:01am each Wednesday the credit card on your account will be billed any items you have selected for pre-purchase or subscriptions.  After a successful credit card transaction is completed the product will be delivered to your account and available to read and/or manage.  All sales are final at the time the transactions occur.

Edit Account Profile
You can update your account information include address on file, email address, selecting Thumbnail or List preference as your default view.  You can also change you ComicWorks passwords.

From here you can update, manage or change credit card information.

Browse Options
A user can browse comics by the following options.  If in My Account you will browse your comics otherwise you will sort all comics on site.  From the Home page you can enter a title (or partial title) in the search field. 
Publisher Search: The user can search by publisher and look for any comic titles produced by that publisher.
Genre Search:  The user can search by genre based on the interest of the customer.
Release Date:  Displays comics from oldest to newest.
Title: Search by comic title
            Genre: We currently offer and you can search by the following genres - Action/Adventure, Educational, History/Real-life, Horror/Supernatural, Humor, Manga, Political, Real-life, Religious, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Superhero
Publisher: Allows you to search for comics via different hosted publishers
            CCA Rating: Choices include - choice include: All ages, 13+, 17+ and Mature
            Previews: Search only for comics with previewable pages available

ComicWorks Community
This link take you to the ComicWorks Online community page.  From here you can post art, bios, descriptions of comics.  Engage in polls, follow other user blogs, share videos and do live chats.

You can upload a photo avatar to represent you on the community site.

Community – Settings Center
Account Settings: This area allows you to change your profile.  You can also set up preferences for Email Notifications (Posted Comments, New Mail messages, New Forum Replies, and New Friend Requests) and Privacy Settings (Only friends can see profile, only friends can post to my profile, Don’t allow HTML on my comments).

            Profile Settings:
You can share a Headline about yourself, share Favorite Comicbook Characters, movies, music, comics & books you read or have read.  Fill out a description about yourself and list your favorite games.

From here you can load an avatar photo for your profile.

From here you can upload your own personal background page
